Don't let your lack of boating
experience stop you from having fun;
Captain Ron can certify you!

It would be a crime to visit the Eastern Shore without spending some time on the water. And what better way than to captain the boat yourself. Pack a cooler with your favorite soft drinks, lunch and snacks. Then go sightseeing, fishing, crabbing, swimming or exploring. There are literally hundreds of miles of natural shoreline with remote beaches just waiting for you. If you're looking to fish or crab, Captain Ron will share his knowledge of a few local hot spots. And by the way, all Fish/Crab Boats are equipped with a Chesapeake Bay Fishing/Crabbing Boat License which covers everyone onboard. That means you won't have to buy a licenses for each person. What a wonderful thing!
This may be our smallest motorboat, but it sure is fun to operate. My first boat was similar in size but it was made of wood which meant several days of painting each year prior to launch. This boat is made of a maintenance-free poly material which requires only an occasional wash down. Its 3.3HP Mercury outboard motor is a perfect match. Although it won't pull a water skier, you'll certainly enjoy puttering the shores of creeks and other sheltered waters.

Who cares if it's cold? Early spring and late fall are the best times to canoe.

Just across from the marina is the entry to Back Creek Park Water Trail; a perfect place to soothe your soul while emersed in Mother Nature's hospitality. The creek rambles on for about 2.5 miles inland, with a number of side coves just waiting for exploration. The creek is too shallow for craft other than kayaks, canoes or paddle boats. As such, most of the wildlife native to this area are readily visible while in their natural habitat. Bald Eagles, Osprey, Blue Heron, hawks, egrets, swans, geese, ducks, deer, fox and beaver are just a few of the critters that are spotted on a typical day.

Be sure to pack your camera.
So you say you're a sailor, well you'd better be if you're thinking of sailing on the challenging Chesapeake Bay. Well...there are some days where the Bay is calm and serene like the lake you sailed upon when you were young. Then again, when the Bay kicks up, it offers water fit only for a truly seasoned sailor. Most of the in-between days are calm enough so that the rest of us can enjoy a thrilling but safe sail; so come on, try your skills.

MOTOR SCOOTERS

More Info

You don't need a motorcycle license!

Scoot around town on our Euro-style Motor Scooters. Spend hours exploring the many side streets both on and off Tilghman Island. Ride them to St. Michaels for lunch or across the Oxford Bellevue Ferry for a day of sightseeing and shopping in Oxford. They are easy to drive, will accommodate 1 or 2 people and you do not need to have a motorcycle license. Helmets are recommended but not required.
If you feel intimidated by a motor scooter, you may feel right at home with a moped. They are quiet running, very easy to operate and will give you the thrill of a motorcycle but without the noise and smell. That's because they are battery powered. So enjoy your tour of our island on one of our new electric mopeds.

BICYCLES

We provide road service should you encounter a problem. Name me one other bike rental company who does that!

If MotorScooters or Mopeds are not your style, then a bicycle may be just what the doctor ordered. Considering our island is only 1 mile wide and 3 miles long, a bike will serve you well. Your only decisions are whether a Cruiser, Mountain, or Hybrid style is most desired and whether or not to use a helmet. We also offer children's bikes.
I've been crabbing since I was old enough to stand on my own two feet. My grandfather was my teacher, my sisters and best buddy were my partners. I'll remember those years forever. Memories like these are why crabbing is at the top of my list of family oriented sports. Everyone gets involved and a fruitful day provides a feast for the night. Each set comes with 4 handlines and 2 cages. For customers who rent the equipment along with one of my boats, I'll provide the gear at a discount and chart you a few local hot spots.

WATERWAY TOURS

& SIGHTSEEING

Sit back and relax .....
leave the driving to Captain Ron.

If you've never been on a pontoon boat before, you really should try touring on one. From the helm of our "Limo-luxurious Pontoon Boat", a US Coast Guard licensed captain will take you on a waterway tour of your sites or ours. We've also enjoyed doing wedding parties, waterfront real-estate viewing and chauffeur/taxi service.

Packing a cooler is recommended and reservations are necessary.

There are a lot of choices when it comes to selecting your end of day celebration cruise. You really can't go wrong on any because just being on the water when the sun sets is awesome. We're kind of particular about which nights we go as not all are appropriate for a SunSet Drift, but if we are going and we have room, you're more than welcome to come. We typically depart the docks about 45 minutes prior to sunset and are back within 30 minutes after it sets. Consider making your dinner reservations at a local restaurant for just 15 minutes later to complete an evening you'll remember forever.

Bring your own drinks, snacks and friends for a personal party or enjoy a little romantic time with your First-Mate just before dinner.

You are encouraged to bring a cooler packed with your favorite drinks and appetizers.

We charge just $25 per person.

POWER BOAT SAFETY, OPERATION AND HANDLING LESSONS

More Info

If you are serious about nothing else
in life, please be certain that boating
safety is your one exception.

If you've never driven a power boat before, don't let that spoil your opportunity to explore our beautiful waters on your own. US Coast Guard licensed Captain Ron will train you within a few enjoyable hours. And I'm not talking about the typical classroom book study stuff. You'll get most of your training behind the wheel of a small outboard motor boat. There are no other boating lessons in this area that offer that kind of hands-on training.

We are Maryland State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Safety Certified. Course attendees are issued a Temporary Certificate of Boating Safety Education.

Now you're ready to explore our waterways on your own!

Lessons by appointment only.
The thing with sailing is that you really need some theory prior to getting underway. Knowing what makes a sailboat sail and how to apply that knowledge to the mechanicals of the boat is essential. Therefore, you'll be provided the basics on land, then underway on Bay waters for practical application. Once you are comfortable with your newfound ability, you're on your own to experience the serenity of being under sail, no motor sounds or smell, just the wind and seas to invigorate you and your mate.

Lessons by appointment only.
